Warrants and reconnaissance
Assignments and worksite recovery have different requirements and risks.
A Warrant is an assignment
Warrants progress through the appropriate combat tasks and area rules. Task tiers have level bands, target ranges, assignment costs and extension costs. The Warrant ledger is distinct from ordinary cash.
An opponent can exist in the catalogue without being eligible for your current assignment. Routes can explicitly withhold Warrant task credit. Check the target and route rules before expecting an encounter to count.
Area permissions still apply
Advanced Warrants areas can require a trade level, route clear, purchased access or suitable equipment. Clearing a similar-looking region does not grant every area permission.
Area conditions can alter your statistics or resource costs. Opponent pages list area access, while the game’s current encounter quote includes the actual conditions.
Reconnaissance is work under risk
Reconnaissance recovers goods at hostile or abandoned sites. Each site has perception, failure damage and recovery time. Common, location and unique finds follow separate chance rules.
A high-looking reward does not guarantee steady income. Failed attempts use time and can cost Grit; equip food and inspect the success quote before committing to a long job. Recovery after failure is not another reward cycle.
Warrant task tiers
The fees use the Warrant ledger, not ordinary dollars.
