Food and a sustainable encounter
Prepare for the largest hit as well as the average damage.
Food must be equipped
Carry cooked food in your food slots and select the appropriate slot. Food in the Stockpile is not automatically the same as an equipped meal; automatic equipping and swapping depend on the relevant settings and purchased upgrades.
Automatic provisions plans improve the way food is used. Read the plan’s threshold and efficiency. A stack of meals cannot save you from a hit that defeats you before the automatic-eating check.
Inspect the actual opponent
Maximum Grit, damage reduction, combat style and the opponent’s special sequences all matter. A special can contain several hits, have guaranteed accuracy or apply a lasting effect. The opponent’s ordinary maximum hit alone is not a complete safety estimate.
Start with a short observed encounter. Watch food and ammunition use, inspect the combat quote and stop if the current loadout does not sustain it. Do not treat a weapon’s equip level as a recommended level for every encounter.
Manual food and absence
Manual eating can reset your attack wind-up, so repeated eating can greatly reduce progress. A guide that requires near-instant reactions is not an idle-safe plan.
Offline combat is an explicit setting. Enabling it continues real risk with real supplies; it does not make an unsafe encounter safe. Ordinary defeat can lose equipment under the game’s death policy. Export a save for your own backup, not as a substitute for preparation.
