Read an encounter route before setting out
Stage order, special attacks and completion rewards shape the risk.
An encounter is more than its first opponent
A route has ordered stages, possible random stages, route effects and completion rules. Reaching a weak first opponent does not establish that the later stages are safe. Inspect each opponent and any required equipment before committing.
A listed ordinary maximum hit is the base normal attack. Special attacks can have different damage, repeated hits, guaranteed accuracy or conditions. The wiki keeps those descriptions alongside the opponent’s base numbers.
Rewards and repeat runs
Some routes award supplies only when the whole route is completed. Some add first-clear rewards or stage-specific drops. A crate reward usually needs to be opened in the Stockpile before its possible contents become individual items.
Restart behavior and in-route equipment changes have their own rules. Buy or earn the relevant access before relying on a loadout change halfway through a route.
Build a sustainable plan
Compare the live damage reduction for the current combat triangle, the automatic food threshold and the opponent’s largest relevant hit. Reserve enough food and supplies for misses, slower kills and all remaining stages.
Plan how to obtain the whole outfit, including off-hand equipment and duplicate pieces for saved sets. A weapon’s minimum equip level says when you may use it; it does not establish a safe level for the route.
